Overview

The Start Primary School event is a Recurring Cost event, which means the budgeted amount will be added as an expense (which increases at inflation) in from the year that the event has been added to for a set duration of 7 years to cover the costs of raising a child during the Primary School years (i.e. Kinder - end of year 6)

The Start Primary School event accounts for the expenses associated with a child’s early education, covering both public and private schooling options.

What to factor in:

  • School fees (for private or religious schools)

  • Uniforms, books, and stationery

  • Excursions, camps, and extracurricular activities

While public schooling is generally lower in cost, private schools can be significantly more expensive, and additional activities (e.g., music lessons, sports clubs) can add up.
